As a licensed aircraft mechanic, Cory never planned to be an ironworker. His father was in construction and he has a personal connection to the owners of Shelby Erectors so it was only a matter of time before he decided to pursue the opportunities that this industry could offer him.
There’s a future in the company and in the industry that people don’t realize exists. You don’t need a college degree or decades of experience to succeed in this role.
Rebar is an artform to Cory because there he gets to step back and look at the structure he and his team created. In SIP, he enjoys knowing that his crew is actually connecting the bridges together.
Cory is proud to be a part of the Shelby Erectors team and has embraced the technology driven culture here. His priority is safety and to make sure that everyone gets home to their family at the end of every day.
Cory is married to his wife, Shelby and they have two sons. When he’s not working, he spends his time with family. When he gets the chance, he’s outdoors hunting, fishing, or four wheeling.
