| Project Details | The Central Florida Expressway Authority is performing capacity improvements on State Road 417 (Central Florida Greeneway) from Boggy Creek Road to Narcoossee Road to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow. This 4.5-mile project will add a lane in each direction, expanding the expressway from four to six travel lanes. One sound wall is proposed in this segment. CFX will also add capacity to the southbound SR4 417 entrance ramp and Lake Nona Boulevard and modify the existing configuration of the southbound SR 417 ramp to Narcoossee Road to three left turn lanes and single right turn lane. Wider median shoulders will be added that can temporarily accommodate traffic during emergency response events, such as traffic accidents or hurricane evacuations. This is one of five capacity improvement projects on SR 417 between International Drive and SR 528. |
